PALM SUNDAY SERVICE CALL TO WORSHIP: This is the day which God has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it and that we are God's manifestation, God's children. We are each a droplet of the divine, of God. Blessed be the one that enters God/Christ Realization. The Sovereign One is God who has caused light to shine upon us, who is our maker, sustainer, and changer. We give thanks to you; we extol you. You are good and your love endures forever. Open to us the gates of righteousness and Christ Consciousness that we may enter forever. Give thanks to God. INVOCATION: Open our minds to the mind of Christ, to Christ Consciousness. Loosen our ears and tongues to hear and share what Christ is teaching us. Empty us of false pride and arrogant pretensions so we can join the humble servant on a donkey and learn to love and serve God and others. We are ready to hear you, our saving, loving God, and to respond to your steadfast love. Amen. HYMN: Thou Almighty King MESSAGE & READING: Zechariah 9:9, Luke 19:9-15 PRAYER: We empty ourselves before the living God, of all our attachments, expectations, our selfish egos and desires, our doubts and rebellion, and our limitations and fears. We come, not as adversaries, but as petitioners, in the assurance that God is ready to hear and forgive us. Let us confess our sins, pay our debts, and eliminate that which separates us from God and each other. O holy Parent, Mother-Father God, we acknowledge our dependence on you, even as we confess our efforts to dismiss you and live without you. To often we take life into our own hands and close our ears to the prompting of your will, your Spirit. We shrink from the responsibility that awaits us when we embrace the mind of Christ. We so often prefer religion without a cross, without payments, without service, and salvation without sacrifice, surrender, or spiritual growth. God forgive us and grant us courage to face our own Calvaries. We must each learn to be our own Messiahs. Help us follow the path Jesus gave us for our salvation, for our redemption and God Realization. The stone that the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. God does not keep us from hard times, but helps us through them. He gave us Jesus to learn from and to emulate so that we may too realize our Christ Selves. Praise to God. Do not be silent, but cry out to us with your Holy Word, the Light that transcends all words. May our response to your humble servant on the donkey be genuine and steady. Waken our ears to hear your message and equip our feet to walk the path in this world. We await your light, even as we rejoice and give thanks for your answer to our prayers. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Sunrise Easter Service (6 AM, 11 Apr) BENEDICTION: The light of God has shined into our lives, giving us cause for praise and rejoicing. The truth of God has come to us in Jesus Christ and other great spiritual leaders, showing the many paths, equipping us to sustain the weary with our words. The humility of Jesus reveals true greatness, challenging us to embrace the mind of Christ, to realize our Christ/God Consciousness. The sacrifice of Jesus to realize his Christ moves us to awe and gratitude, summoning us to give ourselves for others. The gates of righteousness, of salvation, are open to us that we may enter and give thanks to God. The gift of God is to answer our Prayers and to grant us salvation day by day, through our life experiences and challenges, to bring us back to the eternal One. Amen. Amen. SIGN OF PEACE:
